Don’t settle…

Ever…

Not in your job. Not in your relationships. Not in your fitness.
The other day, I was listening to Pandora Radio. If you are a Pandora user, you are well aware that there is an allotted amount of songs that one is able to skip in a certain time frame. Knowing this can cause one to settle. Imagine…I’m listening to my favorite station: 80′s Love Songs. I have about four minutes before I pull into my driveway, and I almost settle for Cher and Peter Cetera’s “After All“, but I took a chance and skipped it, and what do I get??? Aha’s “Take on Me” followed by Air Supply’s “Making Love Out of Nothing at All“….that’s right…#winning…
Don’t settle…
I kid with this silly scenario, but it is a reminder that when we settle, we accept that which is truly unfulfilling. We miss out on the true potential of an experience, or worse yet, we never develop into that which we can truly can be.
Don’t accept acquaintances that bring you down. Don’t accept jobs that devalue you. And Don’t accept crappy lifts, or being a weight that you don’t want to be.
Plain and simply: don’t settle…ever

B. Thruster – 2.2.2.2, rest 90 seconds

9 minute ascending ladder
3 thrusters @ 115/75

etc.

-December 20th we will be heading out as a gym to SBC Milford where Coach Mena works. We will do this immediately after the 7:30 class. It would be awesome to come together as a gym and just hang out as normal people and not CrossFit studs. Please RSVP at info@savinrockathletics.com. We would love to see as many people as possible.
– Remember every Wednesday at 6:30 pm and Saturday at 10 am is our friends and family. So bring whoever you want to have them try out what you do. We want to see this happening more because without you guys spreading the news we can’t build this gym to what we see it becoming.
-Remember December 14th is the Winter Meltdown at Crossfit Milford. We have several athletes participating in this event so we want our gym to come and support them. This is very exciting for them and the more people with there Savin Rock gear on the more comfortable they will feel!

This months member of the month is Rob Sampson. He worked through injury doing mobility work and modifications for several weeks. Now he is back at it full speed and attacking each day! Congrats Rob! Coaches are all proud!!
