If you told me 5 years ago that I would be training competitively and becoming a CrossFit coach, I would have laughed. Most of my colleagues and fellow athletes have an athletic background, but after I stopped playing field hockey in high school my life became much more sedentary. I was more focused on working and earning my BA in Graphic Design. I was a heavy smoker and loved every minute of it. Then one day I woke up!! I realized that I didn’t want to be in my 40’s as a smoker, riddled with health issues. Cancer has deeply effected my family, therefore I decided to make a change. I quit smoking and began working out at your typical globo gym. Being healthy became my lifestyle. Health and fitness became my everyday existence. I then began to dabble in the popular at-home workout systems “Insanity” and “P90X”, which I loved… but there are only so many times you can watch those DVD’s before you start reciting the words and corny jokes. Enter: CrossFit. Literally in love from day 1. It’s been a crazy road. CrossFit has not only shaped my body (in ways I never thought possible) but it has truly transformed my life. I can honestly say that, through CrossFit, I have met the most AMAZING people and I’m truly grateful for that. So that’s my story…my colleagues and I want to help you create YOUR journey, and we truly hope that we can help you love this as much as we do. I look forward to being your favorite trainer!!!
